Kamalalayam makes me nostalgic. The last time I saw Kamalalayam was in 1983.

Reg. that Sivaramapuram picture, is that the village on the way from Kumbakonam to Mayavaram where Cauvery turns left (or right, but it turns)?

Are you perhaps referring to Thiruvalanjuzhi? I know the Cauvery turns there. But not sure if it turns in Sivaramapuram. Sivaramapuram is 10 kms from Mayavaram on the mayavaram-kumbakonam road.

I happened to be in India on a trip for the entire month of jan....
now that I see these pics, I feel a bit of regret abt my trip. I wanted to have a similar kind of trip visiting temples in a.p and a few villages(never been to a village)..hmm finally spent my time getting stuck in hyderbadi traffic..
